Tellima grandiflora ( Fringecups , Bigflower Tellima ) is a herbaceous perennial of the family Saxifragaceae . It is a native of most forests in western North America. Frequently grown in gardens, it has escaped and become established in some other areas, e.g. Great Britain . The small green, white or purple flowers are born in spikes and the petals are deeply fringed. It is the only species in the genus Tellima . [ 1 ] [ 2 ]
