Pinus monticola, also known as Western White Pine or Idaho Pine, is a stunning addition to any landscape. It is a member of the white pine group and can grow up to 150 ft tall with needle-like leaves that last for up to 3 years. This pine tree is commonly found in the mountains of western United States and Canada, including the Sierra Nevada, Cascade and Rocky Mountain ranges. It is resistant to blister rust and is key species in the Western White Pine Society. Pinus monticola is widely used in herbal remedies for skin complaints and as a natural treatment for wounds, sores, burns, boils, and other similar ailments.
