Panax pseudoginseng, also known as Himalayan Ginseng, is a perennial herb with a range of medicinal uses. Its Latin name means "cure-all", and it belongs to the same scientific genus as Asian ginseng. While it is not an adaptogen like some Panax species, it is renowned as a hemostatic herb that both invigorates and builds blood. Its leaves are palmately compound and its inflorescence features a solitary, terminal umbel with up to 50 flowers. The plant prefers moist soil and can grow in full or semi-shade conditions. Notoginseng, also known as pseudoginseng, is closely related to Panax pseudoginseng and is commonly used in Chinese medicine. As with other ginseng plants, both of these species are highly valued for their potential health benefits.
