Larix gmelinii - Dahurian Larch - is a beautiful medium-sized deciduous coniferous tree native to eastern Siberia, northern China and North Korea. This unique tree is known for its adaptability to the harsh cold temperatures of its native regions, withstanding temperatures below -94°F in the Oymyakon–Verkhoyansk region of Yakutia. Dahurian Larch is also the northernmost tree in the world, reaching up to 73° latitude.
