Anigozanthos flavidus, also known as the Tall Kangaroo Paw, is a stunning plant species native to Southwest Australia. With its strap-like, evergreen leaves and a rhizome that allows it to survive drought and fire, this plant is a resilient addition to any garden. It produces over 350 flowers per plant, on up to 10 tall stems, during the summer season. While flowers are frequently yellow and green, they can also present in shades of red, pink, orange, or brown. Originally endemic to the area, Anigozanthos flavidus is now naturalized in New South Wales and widely cultivated in the Eastern states of Australia and the United States of America.
