The Acer palmatum 'Oridono-Nishiki' or Oridono Nishiki Japanese Maple is perfect for those looking for an eye-catching addition to their landscape. With fresh green seed, it is worth noting that red-leaved varieties produce a high proportion of red-leaved offspring and are slightly hardier than green-leaved types. While growing it, Rick Sheffield noticed a great deal of variation in the seedlings that come from this seed - even more variation than any other cultivar he has grown.
