Introducing the Acer palmatum ssp. matsumurae 'Chitoseyama', a deeply divided red form of palmatum that's renowned for its cascading branches, but not as fully drooping as some cultivars. In sunlight, this beautiful Japanese maple develops an interesting shade of red that's sure to attract attention. While it doesn't color up well in shade, it's a stunning addition to any sunny garden. Please note that the resulting seedlings may not look like the mother tree, as with all seed collected from cultivars. Get your very own Acer palmatum ssp. matsumurae 'Chitoseyama' and enjoy the natural beauty of this amazing plant.
