Growing Info, follow in order:
Scarification: file or sand through the outer seedcoat or , Soak in hot tap water, 140F degrees for 3 consecutive days.
Stratification: none required.
Germination: After treatment plant seed in potting soil, covered with clear plastic and place in bright light. Seeds should germinate in 1 to 4 weeks or longer up to a year, keep warm and moist. Seed germinates freely if sown as it is ripe in a cold frame.
Other: Seed can be soaked in concetrated sulfuric acid for 2 hours. Be careful! Wash seed thoroughly following the acid soak.

It is not a true fruit but a swollen receptacle. The fruit is up to 3cm long, it contains 11.4% glucose, 4.7% fructose and 12.6% sucrose.
