Cyclamen coum, also known as Eastern Sowbread or Persian Violet, is a stunning flowering plant valued in horticulture for its attractive groundcover and beautiful pink shell-shaped flowers. This species is a tuberous herbaceous perennial that grows to 5-8cm with rounded heart-shaped leaves. The flowers bloom in winter and early spring, adding vibrant color to any garden during the colder months. Cyclamen coum is hardy and able to thrive in colder climates, including areas with temperatures as low as -28°C. This species is available in three forms that differ in leaf and flower characteristics.
