Scotch Pine, also known as Scots Pine, is a native tree to northern Europe and is highly valued in forestry for its wood, which is used for pulp and sawn timber products. It is also one of the first trees introduced to North America. This evergreen coniferous tree can grow up to 25 meters in height and has a distinctive long, bare straight trunk topped by a rounded or flat-topped mass of foliage, making it a popular choice for Christmas trees. Its needles are a blue-green color and range from 2.5-5 cm in length. The seed cones are red at pollination and will become grey-green to yellow-brown at maturity, releasing their blackish seeds when they open in spring. Scotch Pine is extremely adaptable to various soil types and can grow in altitudes ranging from sea level to 2,600 meters. Order your Scotch Pine seedlings today and add this versatile and beautiful tree to your collection.
