Campsis radicans 'Flava' Yellow Trumpet Creeper is a stunning and very ornamental plant that is native to woodlands of the southeastern United States. Its woody vine can grow rampageously and has 3" orange or reddish-orange flowers in summer, but this variety has yellow flowers instead of orange. It can attract hummingbirds and is hardy to about -20°C. However, it requires regular severe pruning to control its growth, as it cannot be ignored unless you want to cover a barn. While all seedlings may not have yellow flowers, it is still a beautiful addition to any garden and can be grown in sunny or dappled shade areas with moist, well-drained soils. Just remember that it cannot grow in the shade and prefer more open positions such as a pergola or an old tree in the southern part of England. Give it some support to climb and any pruning is best done in the spring. Order yours today and enjoy this attractive and showy plant in your garden!
