This deciduous bonsai tree grows swiftly into its mature form and is readily receptive to training with most styles. This maple needs full sun but should be given partial shade in the summer. An excellent maple bonsai specimen. Known for its small leaves and gnarly roots this bonsai is dramatic over rock . The trunk thickens fast and develops some rust colored peeling appearance.
