Introducing Pinus wallichiana, an evergreen coniferous tree native to the Himalayas, Karakoram, and Hindu Kush mountains. Growing at high altitudes of 1800-4300m, this tree is often called Bhutan Pine or Himalayan White Pine. With drooping gray-green needles and large decorative cones, it adds a graceful and charming touch to large gardens and parks. Its timber is durable and highly resinous, and it is also a good source of turpentine. Moreover, Pinus wallichiana is highly resistant to air pollution, making it a perfect planting option in urban areas. This tree has been awarded the prestigious Royal Horticultural Society's Award of Garden Merit. As it can grow in a temperate climate with dry winters and wet summers, give Pinus wallichiana a chance to shine in your outdoor space.
