The Loebner Magnolia, a beautiful deciduous hybrid magnolia, is a favorite among garden enthusiasts because of its fragrant, star-like white flowers that bloom in early spring. This strong-growing plant has a rounded crown and grows up to 30 feet tall, making it perfect for lawns or multi-trunked forms. The deep pink buds open up into informal strap-like tepals with pale shell pink upper surfaces and darker pink-purple lower ones. This hybrid cultivar is hardy to USDA Zone 4 and prefers moist, well-drained soil in full sun to part shade.
